Monday again

Wow, I wonder how many Mondays I have experienced in my life... surely enough. No new news on the house front (selling or buying). I have been busy packing for the Florida trip. I think we're almost ready. I am excited and a little nervous about the cakes I'm making Thursday and Friday. One is a beehive for Billy's B-day picnic at the park and the other is pink, brown and white polka dots for a graduation. I've decided on buttercream with fondant polka dots. No pics from today. I was charging my camera battery and packing the charger for Florida. Tomorrow I have a friend's little 2 year old boy so she can go to her 6-week after the baby appointment with the newborn. Well, there's really nothing else going on for me today. I'm trying to plan a last minute trip to the temple tomorrow. But it will all depend on if I can get a sitter. Well, it's bathtime, gotta run.

Out of town weekend...

Well, every other weekend Daddy has to work, so we drive about 2 1/2 hours North to be with Dad. This weekend we tried to keep it pretty relaxed. We went to the park and just hung out together. For the week ahead we have a lot to do. This is Billy's last week of preschool and his last day (Thursday) is also his 5th Birthday and his preschool graduation. Then Friday night we leave for our Florida trip. Uncle Andrew and Aunt Jackie are getting married and we are driving down to be there. We also plan on hitting the beach with cousin Deena and family and the zoo with Grandpa Chuck and Grandma Gail. We'll also be seeing lots of Papa Billy and Grandma Bobbie (because we're staying with them). And surely Grandma Darlene and Grandpa Mike will treat us to Bo's... right? And we can't wait to meet Grandma Olson's new puppy friends. We have a lot to do and see while we're there. It'll be a great time to take a break from the house selling and buying. Hooray! Another Day

Well, it's been a day full of mixed feelings. At one point today I just felt blessed with blue skys, sunshine and white puffy clouds. I took my kids to play at the park with Billy's preschool friends. I mowed the grass. We pulled out the sidewalk chalk at home. But then, there's the stress that lurks in the undergrowth. We still haven't sold the house- after many, many showings. We have missed out on three houses we've wanted-partly because we can't get out of this house. And at the end of the month, we still need somewhere to be-together. Billy's preschool will be over. Josh and Steph will be moving, so Carl can't stay there anymore. We can't find an apartment. And money is getting tighter all of the time. Our Florida trip is just over a week away and who knows how we're going to pull it off. I guess we all know- hooray for credit cards! Well, at least we still get to go. I would be devastated if I missed my brother's wedding. And they might be too, since I'm in charge of the cake. Things are actually going pretty well considering the craziness around me. But I just keep praying that things will work out with our living situation and soon. Billy's favorite prayer is Help us get to the new house quickly. They all miss their daddy so much. Until next time.
